Criteria for Testing

What are the criteria for getting tested at a drive-thru location?

  • Must have temperature of 99.6 or higher and shortness of breath or cough; OR
  • Anyone 65-years-old or older; OR
  • Anyone with chronic health issues (diabetes, asthma, heart issues, etc.); OR
  • Any first responders, DART drivers, healthcare workers, grocery store and essential retail store workers

What time are the sites open?

Both drive-thru testing sites will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

Please note, due to limited supply, there are only 500 tests per day, per site. Locations will close when tests are depleted.

Parkland Hospital location – by appointment only for current Parkland patients:

  • Parkland Hospital offers drive-thru testing by appointment only for current Parkland patients who meet the medically necessary criteria with a Parkland physician’s order.
  • First responders and healthcare workers can also be tested at this location.
  • Parkland patients can contact the COVID-19 Patient Line at 214-590-8060.

  • Parkland Hospital COVID-19 Testing
  • Free and income based clinics in Dallas County
  • Stewpot’s Parkland Health & Hospital System Homeless Outreach Medical Services (HOMES): barrier-free comprehensive clinic for the homeless population located within Stewpot and opened Monday-Friday on a walk-in basis. Dental Clinic also open to sign up for same-day appointments Mon-Fri at 8AM and Mon-Thurs at 1pm.
  • Stewpot’s MetroCare Services: Mental health services to clients at the Young Street Stewpot location. Appointments available Mon-Fri or by appointment at 214-939-3933.
  • Primary Care Clinic of North Texas
    • 4001 McEwen Road, Dallas, Must call to make an appoint: (214) 378-6005
      They speak Spanish but sometime are understaffed so they ask to bring english interpreter
      $45 for office visit and extra for any testing
      Monday Thru Friday 9am to 3pm.
      No social security # required.

Fannie C. Harris Youth Center: Free Lunch Mar 16-20, 1130am-130pm at 4212 East Grand Avenue, Dallas, TX 75223 (near Fair Park DART station). Only for youth ages 14-21, who may be dealing with housing insecurity.

Financial Assistance

City of Dallas Response:

  • Dallas Water Utilities has suspended water service disconnects until further notice. Customers who are financially impacted by COVID-19, should contact Water Customer Service at 214-651-1441 to make payment arrangements. 
  • Atmos Energy has a program, “Sharing the Warmth” to aid customers who are being financially impacted by COVID-19. To apply for the program, customers should visit https://www.atmosenergy.com/customer-service/get-help-paying-your-bill or call 888-286-6700 .
  • Employees affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19), can apply for benefits either online at any time using Unemployment Benefits Services (UBS) online. UBS is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week or employees can call Texas Workforce Commission’s Tele-Center at 800-939-6631 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Central Time Monday through Friday.
  • Additionally, for TXU customers, they are providing additional bill-payment assistance to customers in need through its TXU Energy AidSM program.
  • TXU, Ambit, Tri-Eagle will waive late fees, extend payment due dates with no down payment required, reduce down payments and deferring balances over five equal installments
  • Reliant, Green Mountain, Cirro, Stream, XOOM, Discount Power are suspending disconnections for non-payment until April 3.
  • Trans/Queer Relief Assistance

We believe they should be afforded the basic human right to healthcare and will aim to post resources as they become available.

  • Air Service

  • Parking:
    • Prepaid Parking: Any modifications or cancellations made at least 1 hour in advance of your booking arrival time will receive a full refund. Read our FAQ page on our policy.
    • The Remote South parking lot is temporarily closed until further notice. The Remote North parking lot remains open.
    • The Express South parking lot is temporarily closed until further notice. The Express North parking lot remains open.
    • Express North will be offering a temporary rate of $10/day for both covered and uncovered parking due to Express & Remote South being closed.
  • Events:
    • Earth Day: DFW Earth Day celebrations set for April 22-23 have been cancelled.
March 16, 2020 Update
All sit-down restaurants at Dallas Love Field will be closed at 11:59 p.m., tonight in accordance with Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson and City Manager TC Broadnax’s Emergency Declaration.Grab-and-go, takeout concessions, including those adjoined to sit-down restaurants, and shops are permitted to remain open. Tables in the Concessions Village, near the Live at Love Stage, will be moved farther apart in accordance with social distancing guidelines.
